Gluten Free and Wellness Expo (2014)

Gluten Free and Wellness Expo (2014)

Gluten Free Expos are a great way to find new companies and products. Fresno California's Expo is smaller then big city expos but I love that a lot of small and local companies attend. This year was a great success. I went with my family and we all had a great time. We enjoyed samples, found new companies and were able to talk to company owners. They also had some workshops and classes. There were also some bigger companies there like Bakery On Main, Gluten Free Mama and Enjoy Life Foods. There there were many companies there so I decided to highlight three local companies to introduce and talk about.

Gf Foodie: Gf Foodie is a monthly box service that sends you gluten free products and samples. They organized and hosted the event along with Whole Foods. You can chose a gluten free box or gluten free + dairy box for $29.00 a month and a Palo/grain free or top 8 allergen free box for $34.00 a month. You check out different subscription choices at their website http://www.gffoodie.com

Bliss Baking Co. of California: Bliss Baking Co. is a gluten and grain free company. They are located in the Central Valley. Their desserts are delicious. I'm in love with their Banana Bliss Bread. It is perfect. There are some dairy free options as well. They work out of their home kitchen. They have a Facebook page www.facebook.com/BlissBakingCoCalifornia

P*DE*Q: I plan on doing a full review of P*de*q in the future but I could not talk about the Expo without mentioning this excellent company. P*de*q is a tapioca based bread from Brazil. They are delicious and their facilities are dedicated gluten free. They are not only sold on their website, corner shop and bakery but in some stores in Costco. Based in Fresno and Clovis they are a fast growing company who just unveiled a new menu. They also have dairy free options and make pizzas, salads, breads, soup, boba teas and various deserts. I'm very excited for my next visit. Find out more about them at http://www.pdeq.net/ If your ever traveling through California's Central Valley be sure to stop by. You will not regret it.
